Each year, the Latinx Mental Health & Social Justice Institute organizes this event around Indigenous Peoples’ Day, National Coming Out Day, and Hispanic Heritage Month.

We are excited to announce the date and theme for the 2026 Latinx Mental Health & Social Justice Symposium!

2025 Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Symposium September 25th & 26th Welcome to our 2025 LATINX Symposium! Thank you for being here. Ourtheme this year, Immigration: Hope, community and resistance,responds to the sociopolitical climate we are living in and the need to come togetherin solidarity, support, and collective action. Itis our hope that you would consider this space a celebration ofthe Latine culture, and a space to name the hurt,to support,to heal and to act. Let’s come togetherto lift each other up and find tangible ways to take action. ¡Bienvenidos a nuestro Simposio LATINX 2025! Gracias por acompañarnos. Nuestro tema de este año, Inmigración: Esperanza, comunidad y resistencia, responde al clima sociopolítico que vivimos y a la necesidad de unirnos en solidaridad, apoyo y acción colectiva. Esperamos que consideren este espacio como una celebración de la cultura latina, y también como un espacio para identificar el dolor, apoyarnos, sanar… y actuar. Latinx Institute 2024 Symposium

The 2024 Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Virtual Symposium will take place during Hispanic Heritage Month on October 9 & 10, 2024. This year’s theme is: 

“Migration Journeys: Stories from Our Community”

We are happy to announce that this year we will also offer a showcase of artistic work in our virtual expo. This expo will take place on one of the two days during the symposium.

Our annual symposium is a free virtual event that features speakers and presenters from all over the world! We are looking for volunteers for the days of the events! If you would like to volunteer, please send us an email at [email protected].
