A collaboration between the Latinx Institute and El Futuro 2 Hour Online Workshop / FREE Wednesday, June 11, 2025 12:00 to 2:00 PM (Eastern Time) | 9:00 to 11:00 AM (Pacific Time)
This webinar provides an overview of mental health in Latino populations through the lens of immigration, acculturation, and ongoing sociopolitical change. Participants will explore how migration-related experiences and broader historical and current sociocultural dynamics impact stress and mental health vulnerability among Latinos. Special attention will be given to the evolving impact of federal policies on Latino mental health, with a focus on how these changes shape clinical presentations, access to care, and help-seeking behaviors. Drawing on culturally grounded frameworks, the webinar will also introduce multisystemic strategies for intervention, aiming to support practitioners in delivering responsive, equitable care to Latino clients and communities.
