This February, as we celebrate Black Heritage Month, we want to acknowledge the Latinx people of African descent in the United States and across the Americas. Did you know that Latin American countries such as Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Honduras have significant populations of African descent?

According to the Pew Research center, around six million adults in the United States identify as Afro-Latino. Let’s celebrate African heritage across the whole American Continent!
