Douglas Valdez, MSOM, MBA, the Institute’s coordinator received the Antioch University Seattle’s Presidential Civic Leadership Award for 2022.
The Provost of Antioch University Seattle said:
“Douglas’s civic leadership was highlighted through his role as a champion of the Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Institute that has helped improve continued conversations, education, and advocacy for the Latinx LGBTQ+ population. His work with the institute has made connections with Latinx organizations throughout the United States and internationally, to better understand what the population needs. This networking is also building a bridge to support future clinical endeavors as well supporting AUS involvement in the Latinx community. Douglas is in the CMHC Program (AUS).”
